Since my last post, I’ve since finished a GoFundMe campaign for a study abroad program in England which in turn allowed me to graduate earlier than expected. I also was also published in Arthur Futurus – Lands & Legends, compiled from the work created during the program.
In the same vein as my BFA Project I created these photographs that captured, in my mind, was it was like to travel through the English countryside. Like an Impressionist painting or Cubism, trying to capture and depict something more than a static scene. What do you remember from a 300 mile drive other than an occasional gas station stop or flat tire? These images represent the parts of road trips that are as I remember them, a blur and with an infrequent road sign. Every photograph is unique and can never be duplicated, even if you were to traverse the same road every day at the same time.
